Superlight climbing wheels!
The 1.25 rim is the latest creation from ENVE (rim weight is 250g). To compliment the very light rim these are built using the
Extralite Ultrarear SX 135g rear hub and the C4 33g front hub (M5 hub pictured; straight pull US-made C4 hub recommended).
Spokes are Sapim CX-ray, laced 20 radial in the front and 24 two cross/radial in the rear (the Extralite hub uses straight pull
spokes on the drive side).
This makes for a sub 900g pair of wheels - or perhaps more impressively, with Vittoria CX tubular tyres, Enigma skewers
and SRAM Red cassette (as shown) the weight is just 1650g - or what many 'light' wheels weigh with just the wheels alone.
Now also available with Pillar bladed titanium spokes, reducing the weight to 835g ($150 upcharge)
